Jerusalem blanketed in snow

Two days ago TripandTravelblog told us that the snowfall that hit Lebanon, painting the ruins of the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbeck. An evocative and suggestive panorama is the same as are the images of the snow that covered the roofs and streets of Jerusalem. It is quite rare that it snows in Israel and Lebanon, though Jerusalem has been blanketed also in March of last year, but 17 centimeters of snow fell yesterday in a Jerusalem that represents a record for 25 years now.

In this photograph is shownthe whitewashed dome of the mosque of al-Aqsa Mosque, the largest mosque in the city, in the eastern part of Jerusalem.
